Elect IURC Commissioners Starting 2026

Makes the five IURC commissioners elected by voters in nonpartisan elections starting in 2026, instead of appointed by the governor. Candidates must live in the region they represent and can't have worked for a utility in the previous five years. The argument: appointed commissioners answer to the governor and his donors. Elected ones answer to the people paying the bills.
