Chelsea Davis on Instagram: "Less than two months after Kahului council member Tasha Kama died unexpectedly on Oct. 26, her friend Kauanoe Batangan prepares to fill her seat. “She had reached out from the hospital in her final hours and asked that I be available for this. So, it was a lot to process,” Batangan said. “I feel honored. I feel very humbled. This has been a deeply personal journey for me.” Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen’s selection fulfills her dying wish. Story on @hawaiinewsnow.
