Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Supporting Healthy Moms and Babies Act''. SEC. 2. ESSENTIAL HEALTH BENEFITS TO INCLUDE PRENATAL, CHILDBIRTH, NEONATAL, PERINATAL, AND POSTPARTUM HEALTH CARE. (a) In General.--Section 1302(b) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (42 U.S.C. 18022(b)) is amended-- (1) by redesignating paragraph (5) as paragraph (6); and (2) by inserting after paragraph (4) the following: ``(5) Maternity and newborn care requirements.-- ``(A) In general.--The benefits referred to in paragraph (1)(D) shall include comprehensive prenatal, labor and delivery, neonatal, perinatal, and postpartum care and screenings. ``(B) Requirement.--At a minimum, the care and screenings described in subparagraph (A) shall include-- ``(i) ultrasounds by a licensed provider; ``(ii) services caring for the individual relating to spontaneous pregnancy l
