Cap How Much Utilities Can Raise Your Electric Rate

Limits how much an electricity company can increase your base rate in a single proceeding before the IURC. Right now there's no cap — a utility can ask for whatever increase it wants and the IURC decides. This bill would put a ceiling on rate hikes, protecting ratepayers from shock increases.
