(“Mother”) and Father. On April 6, 2017, DCS filed a petition alleging that J.P. and Mother’s three other children were in need of services (“CHINS”). 1 The petition alleged that Mother failed to provide the children with a safe and appropriate living environment free from substance abuse, Mother made threats of taking her own life, Father had not demonstrated the willingness or ability to appropriately parent J.P., and Father’s whereabouts were unknown.
