In December 2018, E.C.’s mother began working nights and left E.C. home with Ross while she was at work. At some point, Ross raised the issue of E.C. masturbating and mentioned “something about buying [E.C.] a vibrator,” and E.C.’s mother did not want to discuss those topics because E.C. was so young. Transcript Volume II at 111. At some point E.C.’s mother decided to leave Ross. When she explained to E.C. that she and E.C. would be leaving, E.C.
