On September 8, 2017, the Department of Planning (“Department”) of the Town of Ellettsville (“Town”) sent Lowers a Request for Compliance, noting violations of the Town’s zoning code (“Code”) including building an addition without obtaining a building permit, “[b]uilding an addition within a setback and/or fence that is too tall,” and stating the property would be re-inspected in October.
