On August 16, 2019, the State charged Palmer with Count I, child molesting as
a level 1 felony; and Count II, child molesting as a level 4 felony. The State
later amended its charging information to add Count III, child molesting as a
level 1 felony, and alleged that he was an habitual offender.
In March 2023, the court held a jury trial.
