Smith had given Howard permission to use her vehicle, but Howard did not have a valid driver’s license at the time of the accident. On January 11, 2022, Wiley filed a complaint against Howard under cause number 30C01-2201-PL-32 (“Cause No. 32”) seeking damages resulting from the accident.
