As Reid spoke to them, an apartment resident, Jonathan Stitts, came out of his apartment and told Reid that Barnes and Coleman were looking for him. Reid then went back to his office, and Barnes and Coleman went into Stitts’s apartment. A few minutes later, gunfire erupted.
