Mother and Father are the biological parents of D.J.I. (“Child”), born in June
2010. The Department of Child Services (DCS) first became involved with the
family when Child was two months old. In August 2010, DCS filed a petition
alleging Child was a CHINS because Mother and Father weren’t providing
appropriate care or supervision. Mother and Father successfully participated in
an informal adjustment, and the CHINS case was closed in January 2011. Later
that year, Mother and Father divorced.
