That May, William’s adult daughter asked him if her son, three-year-old S.W., could stay with his family for the summer. William agreed, and S.W. moved in with them at the end of May. On July 20, Ragan and William had to take H.R. to the hospital for a procedure, so Ragan’s stepmother, Kim Norman, watched the rest of the children.
