On October 26, 2020, DCS found Mother and the Child squatting in an uninhabitable apartment without working utilities. Mother agreed to a safety plan with DCS, which included finding acceptable living conditions and not going back to the apartment where they were squatting. On November 10, 2020, DCS found Mother and the Child in the apartment where they had been squatting, and Mother was arrested for child neglect.
