Around the same time, Vigar started a new job and relied heavily on Salyers—who was then 60 years old—to care for her three children, including her youngest child, T.V.—who was then seven years old. Salyers often picked up T.V. from the bus stop at about 3:30 p.m. and babysat her at Vigar’s residence until about 5:00 p.m. when Vigar returned home. Salyers looked after T.V.
