On March 27, 2024, Gonzalez-Chavez signed and filed both an English and a Spanish version of a Waiver of Trial by Jury and Motion to Set for Bench Trial. That waiver provided in relevant part as follows: 1. The Defendant cannot read, write and understand English. His primary language is Spanish. 2.
