Meriweather had been in the bar since 9:00 p.m. and was a customer, not an employee. Two local police officers, Sergeant Blake Hollins (“Sergeant Hollins”) and Officer Culver (“Officer Culver”) were working at the bar as off-duty security officers. The owner of the bar had given 1 IND. CODE § 35-43-2-2.
