Statement of the Case
This case returns to our court following multiple remands on double jeopardy
grounds and a resentencing. Elijah Mills (“Mills”) now appeals, following a
resentencing hearing, his thirty-nine-year sentence imposed by the trial court for
his Level 1 felony conviction for neglect of a dependent resulting in death or
catastrophic injury.1 Mills argues that his sentence is inappropriate.
