At his initial hearing, Albert told the trial court that he was unemployed and did not have any money to hire an attorney. The trial court found Albert to be indigent and appointed a public defender to represent him. After his initial hearing, Albert posted a surety bond. 1 INDIANA CODE § 35-48-4-6.1. 2 I.C. § 35-45-1-5. [4] In January 2025, a jury found Albert guilty of both charges.
