Thomas observed a man, later identified as Williams, exiting the barn and running toward a vehicle waiting in the road. When Williams entered the car, it quickly drove off. Thomas and Marilyn got into their own truck and followed the car, eventually blocking the vehicle with their truck after a brief pursuit.
