On April 27, 2012, an unknown person threw a Molotov cocktail into the apartment building, and the building caught fire. HERCO reported the loss to Auto-Owners later that day and boarded up the portions of the building not destroyed by the fire. Shortly thereafter, unknown persons vandalized and stole property from the building and HERCO reported this loss to Auto-Owners on July 10, 2012.
