On March 1, 2022, the State charged Kelly with murder 2 and Level 2 felony robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. 3 That same day, the State also filed notice of its intent to seek a habitual offender sentence enhancement. 4 During Kelly’s initial hearing, the trial court appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent him. Attorney Aaron Henderson (“Attorney Henderson”) appeared to represent Kelly.
