Prior to arriving, K.R. had discussed with Lauderdale that she wanted to take a shower, and Lauderdale assured her that he had confirmed with Pinkney and Tate that she would be able to shower. After K.R. and Lauderdale arrived, the group spent some time talking, and everyone but K.R. was drinking alcohol.
