State of Indiana ── Case No.: 24A-CR-02853 Court: Indiana Court of Appeals Date: November 18, 2025 Author: Judge Mary DeBoer County of Origin: Marion Category: Criminal Decision: Affirmed Judge Altice and Judge Pyle concur On August 22, 2022, when Boyd’s friend, Randall Hampton, stopped by and knocked on his apartment door, Boyd answered looking “panick[ed]” and “nervous.” Transcript Vol. 2 at 203. Boyd told Hampton “something was wrong” with his three-year-old son, T.B., who “wasn’t [waking] up.” Id. Hampton took over CPR on T.B. and told Boyd to call 911. Boyd was waiting outside the building when Officer Lauren Cramer arrived, and he directed her upstairs to his apartment.
