One evening, Groves texted Cobb that she was having difficulty getting N.G. to go to bed. Cobb offered to pick up N.G. from Groves’ house and watch him for the rest of the night so she could get some sleep. Groves agreed and instructed Cobb to bring N.G. back to her early the next morning so she could get him ready for daycare. When Cobb did not return with N.G.
