The charge stemmed from Lewis fleeing from law enforcement following his arrest on a felony warrant issued in a different case. Pursuant to a written plea agreement, on August 21, 2020, Lewis pleaded guilty to Level 5 felony escape. Lewis was sentenced to an aggregate term of six years, with three years executed in the Indiana Department of Correction (DOC) and three years suspended to probation.
