The trio made at least six checks: one payable to “Robert Shane Madewell,” one payable to Hogg, two payable to Myer, and two payable to Slavens. Ex. Vol. 4 pp. 3-8. Each check appeared to be payable in an amount of about $1000. On March 5, the three entered the Dutch Mill bar in Logansport.
