Circuit Court Judges and District Court Judges – Selection and Tenure
Proposing an amendment to the Maryland Constitution relating to the selection and tenure of circuit court and District Court judges; requiring Senate confirmation of individuals appointed by the Governor to the office of a judge of a circuit court; prohibiting a judge of a circuit court or of the District Court from performing the duties of office until confirmed by the Senate; authorizing the Governor to convene a session of the Senate during a recess of the General Assembly in order to confirm a judicial appointment; etc.
