Maryland Medical Assistance Program - Use of Reimbursement Funds by Schools
Requiring elementary schools, secondary schools, and county school systems to use certain funds received for services provided under the Maryland Medical Assistance Program or the Maryland Children's Health Insurance Program to provide additional positions for providers, paid internships for students seeking to become providers, stipends designed to address problems in provider recruitment and retention, and stipends for providers working in low-performing schools designed to encourage provider recruitment and retention.
