Hart served over twenty years of his sentence, and on June 20, 2019, the Indiana Parole Board released Hart to parole. In Spring 2020, law enforcement officers were investigating persons trafficking controlled substances into the Department of Correction, and Hart was a suspect. In June, Hart’s home was searched, and officers found a small quantity of marijuana.
