Tr. Vol. 2, p. 36. C.G. took the baby and left the motel room. A short time later, Dunigan also left the motel room, but he left the door slightly ajar upon his exit. Shortly after Dunigan’s exit, a bystander saw smoke coming out of Dunigan’s motel room and called the fire department.
