In 2019, Lone Oak Solar Energy LLC asked the IURC to decline to exercise jurisdiction over Lone Oak’s construction and operation of a solar farm in Madison County, which Lone Oak would construct and operate instead in accordance with a special use permit entered by the Madison County Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA).
