After Hall missed several rent payments, in June 2021, JAAK commenced eviction proceedings against Hall and obtained a default judgment. In July, Hall filed a motion to set aside the default judgment and asked for a jury trial. The trial court transferred the case to the Marion Superior Court. In August, JAAK filed its complaint and alleged that Hall had breached the lease agreement when he fell behind on his rent payments.
