Although J.A. had been employed in the past, he had not worked since May 2024. J.A.’s mother reported that for several months J.A. expressed his beliefs that Ellen DeGeneres and Amazon were involved in a conspiracy to convince J.A. to commit suicide. J.A. also told his mother to kill herself and threatened his mother’s friends. J.A.
