Council 7-28-2026 [82:04-84:09]

Emergency management. This one, we have continuing to operate on very minimal levy because it does have a high operating balance. While the number itself isn't high, you know, for 2026, we're looking at ending with 347,000. But based on the disbursements from this fund of 92,000, it has a 375% operating balance. So we're operating this fund on cash balances all the way through 2031 where you'll see that it drops down to 12.8%. So that's where we'll need to start looking at reallocating levy to this fund. Local roads and streets. Similar to the MVH, Paul's on gas tax decrease in revenues, 2026. What I didn't mention is that for 2027, we did, excuse me, normalize 2026 and then put historical growth onto 2027. So you'll see that 2025 was 831,000 was the revenue. And then when you jump to 21, we're showing 856,000. So we we are showing that growth and assuming that it's going to go back to normal in those funds starting in 2327. Public safety, this one looks a little different because, as you know, this fund will be going away in either 2029 or 2030 depending on what the interpretation of the legislature is. So in 2029, we are showing that all receipts and disbursements will come out of this fund and the disbursements will have to be moved to the general fund which is where the new lit that's adopted by the county in 2028 will be deposited. You'll see that there is still balance of 856,000 dollars in that. You can continue to spend from this fund until that balance is depleted, you know, as long as it's a legal use of the fund. Okay, are there any questions in the cash flows and I went through those really fast trying to not take up all your money.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
