Council 7-28-2026 [66:45-68:37]

And we didn't know that when they said it was, it could be tough for her. Okay, so on to slide 11, which is our, starting our major assumptions. This is an important graph here, chart here with the blue lines and the red lines up at the top. This is showing the property tax for the 2024 through 2031, as well as the property tax and circuit breaker credits that are applied to those, those levies. So as you're looking at this, you may notice that 2026 looks slightly odd from some of the other years as the property tax dropped down, but the circuit breaker or property tax credits increased. In 2026, the county adopted slightly below the maximum amount of levies. So that's why the property taxes are lower. And at the same time, SEA1 was implemented, the first section of that, those credits came in. So that's why the circuit breakers jumped from 633,000 in 2025 up to just over 1 million in 2026. And if you'll notice, based on the parcel level analysis that we've done looking at 2027 through 2031, we expect those credits to increase again in 2029. And then the credits themselves will start to dip in 2030 and 2031. So that's not uncommon for what we're seeing for counties like Lawrence counties. So just want to make you aware of those growing credits that will be a decrease to those revenues. So for 2026, the tax credits did increase by 400,000, $403,000.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
