Commissioners Special 6-22-2026 [8:33-12:56]

But it's minimum. But the majority of the people will see it be the same or in a lot of instances actually decreased this a little bit. I mean, it's kind of a win-win for everyone and there is we can see. So basically the same coverage and maybe a decrease in life. That's correct. That's what's looking. It would just be thrilled if it's a level. Yes. But the way it was before we come up with this idea it was going to be catastrophic. I mean, the premium had doubled essentially on the plan we currently had. It was just an affordable for everyone. I don't know. I didn't wish there would be this. I know we're making less money this year to make the economy because of the increase of what changes. So we had the well-being in mind as this was processed through greatly. And we were trying to come up with something to take care of them and give them a lot of flexibility. Some of the younger people may elect if they're helping to take a higher deductible policy and basically potentially have to pay nothing out of their check if that's what they elect to do. But it gives you flexibility. It just establishes the baseline of what the county's cost is and still give the employee a very respectable coverage in this day and age. Our grandfather's insurance is no more. Thank you, guys. Is there any vision option? Yes. It's a secondary coverage. Secondary coverage. And we have not got any details yet. The quotes haven't come true on that. But it's not going to be as restrictive on the timeline. We will have to be signed up by July 15th for that. We'll have a little more time. But we hope to be able to do it simultaneously. That depends on what he comes up with there. Just a little bit. The numbers to start down this road can just considerably later than we had hoped. And so it has really kind of made a scramble somewhat here at the end. And with this plan, we hope to ease that burden going forward because as this is a federal program, they generally will know numbers by October. So we'll have quite a bit more time to look at things going forward. This time we'll kind of in the scramble, I guess, is the word I'll use. I want to go back to something you mentioned just a minute ago. But for those of us who have reached the age of Medicare, all those who are eligible for Medicare will be required to utilize that source. So I don't know. I have no idea how many people that is, but that's kind of a standard thing. Dave's holding it because he didn't answer. But I just went down that road and affected July 1. It's not terribly difficult to navigate. Anyway, let's say if I else has any more questions, I'd say let's... I have one question. So for the over 65 groups that has to grow on Medicare, will they be allowed to carry the county's dental and vision as they are now? I think so. That is up to you, yes, typically. That's how I work. If I else have any further, not what I will ask for a motion to adopt this proposal. I'd move to approve the... Iqra proposal from J. and J. benefits. I have motion. All in favor? Say aye. Aye. All right, motion carries. And J. Debbie will be available to answer questions if you have some more of this individualistic. And we'll go from there. Make a motion. Do the adjourn, anyone? No, move. I'll second it in a little bit. Thank you, kinder.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
