02-24-2026 Council [66:52-71:53]

So in other words, if you increase the rate on that, it's actually a new property tax revenue that you can get. The real rate is not currently half a max. I think it's 1.1 million for you. I think right now the maximum is 4.3 million for you tonight. If you establish right to the max, and by the way, the commissioners will do the appropriate model to establish this. You can get additional property tax revenue of $442,000 in the game, but that is net for so-called credits. That's new property tax, and that's when we're too simply increased in the capital of May 31st to do that. Again, the county commissioners will do that, the commissioners will do that and let all of us do that. I can't, I didn't, but I can't. So here's what happened. The rate of legislation used to be written on the CCD funds is that once a long time ago, I'm sure it was worth a max. But the legislation said that every time you're never satisfied with the increase, it will adjust that rate so you would be neutral, and it will just kept adjusting. Because I told you, you're never satisfied with the increase they kept adjusting, adjusting, adjusting, adjusting. For that, that changed a couple of years ago to grow. That is not adjusting anymore. So now it's a good time to go to a max because it will not have to adjust together. So at one time, you're at the max, I just don't know when, but we can look back and see. I'm curious. Yeah. So there is a particular process. It's not a process that you happen to make very first to complete this project and swap things as time to do that. And we can help you with that. It's something that you are interested in. So that's what we're going to do. Well, it is because we can still do it. All you have to do is have that public hearing in April, and we can help this late as usual. And we still have time to do it, because there is a remonstration today that we have to go through a 30-day remonstration. But that can extend out on the May 31st deadline. It can go beyond that as long as we file with the DLGL file at the end of May. So we can still do this. If you watch it, you just sort of saw and look at the ball running. And again, don't have to do it now. You can wait. It's always something that you happen to be very confident in, because you want to do it. I just want you to know about your options. Look at the contract. I think we've just passed that for me. Let me move on to page 28. So we've probably heard that there's a bill out there that has to do with township mergers. And the reason why I'm not bringing you that to you is because there's a potential that you might need to be involved. This bill has changed several times, but I noticed yesterday it didn't pass. It's now an engrossed bill, and it has passed. But she's trying to slip in amendments. But here's what it is right now. It requires that townships are kind of graded on performance. So they get points. The more points you have, the better. It's not a good thing. So if you have four or more voices of township, they're able first to merge. Now, more than likely, well, some of these townships will be able to merge with the municipality. I think right now, in this town, it's in decline. And if they do, I think you have to set them and try to make some decisions. So again, I don't, because this just passed yesterday, it's been changing, changing, changing. I don't have a whole lot of information. But I want you to know that they literally can help. If you have to be the one deciding who mergers are through, we can help you with that. We can help you with the human task for impact. What might be the most effective and efficient merging of the services? Some of these townships provide a lot of township assistance. They'll remove services. How is that going to be handled? So we can help you with that. Fortunately, this isn't going to happen at all January of 2021, that decisions will have to be made before them. I'm just getting rid of this for awareness of this. I'm doing to make some of these decisions. So that was a lot of information. We haven't had any questions for me. And, you have a little stretch. You said it like that. It's a little bit more than that. It's a little bit more than that. It's a little bit more than that. It's a little bit more than that. It's a little bit more than that. It's a little bit more than that. The task here should not see a huge effect, because what's going to happen is the task here now is going to get more support for the credits. We're about PCRC where it was so good, is that that felt applied to the task for the first and then the circuit writer, so it lessened your circuit writer. Now, without any PCRC, it's going to be more circuit writer.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
