12-23-2025 Council Meeting [73:12-78:13]

Can I wait for money? The email exchange did not talk price. So I don't want to say because yes or no. I would really be. In my opinion, we got more help when we needed it from Jackie Clemens from the AIC. The AIC is putting out lots of information right now. That's an organization we belong to. They do a good job of disseminating information. They're very involved at the state capital. I think we're better off to use their information. I know they've drawn one or two checks on that. Do you have any idea what they've been paying? I'm big or silly. Right around 28,000. Okay. What were we quoted? 37. 37 I think was the cap. So they're going to pay 28. Roughly 28 yes. I don't see that we owe another dime until they put forth a little effort on their part. That's the question that we're at here tonight. Because I have tried, which Christmas time I understand. There's no money left. Dan's out till Mindy. I think Mindy, I've tried Dan, which then also tried Scott. Which also tried Paige. I'm not interested in doing any more business with Paige or Terry. I keep my mouth shut because you all know how I bowed it on him. So I wasn't impressed the first time. And definitely not impressed this time. So I just think we need to hold up. I mean, we can just be an attorney thing. I think because there is a contract but on an app. But the problem wise is they've got basically all the money with the exception of $8,000. So it's something the attorney would want to take a look at. And see before we can do that. Maybe you can do that before the next council meeting. There were two deliverables. There was a preliminary board and then there was a final report. So you got to do either deliverable. And there's a lot of language in their contracts. And this is true in a financial advisor or contract. That if they don't get the information that they need to do their job, that's an app for them. So I think they've got an app for this. Just hearing the discussion here, I didn't know. I didn't have the background line. That in my opinion is probably means that you're probably not... You have a tough... They give you options. And it sounds like, you know, if you... I think you have a decision to make money going further down the road with them, or if you want to cut it off, or if you are and deal with another option. That's my recommendation. I don't think we want any back, but I don't think we want to give them that last 8,000. Well, it was an ought to exceed. Right. If they have a bill, then they... They've not billed anything since they billed. It doesn't go any farther than it is. I would... Have they been billing monthly? They only billed the one time. Well, since they've got... No, you've not got the deliverable line. I would take the position that we don't owe them anymore, because we didn't give them any deliverable. And I think the contract has kind of become almost... It's not moved, but it's been overrun by the delay, which was not entirely their fault. So you've got a different situation. My recommendation would be during the contract and consider either a new contract, because this doesn't make sense now. I mean, they're talking about a different scope. That changes the scope. The scope of this was a financial plan. And I really didn't see much in it about the budget at all, and just a financial plan. So would we have... I'm not surprised that the scope did really go way too much to the budget. Yeah. And that was... And specifically... To kind of what you want. So do you feel like that they provided to us what was in the contract? I can't say that.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
