12-23-2025 Council Meeting [0:30-5:33]

Yes. You're welcome. Thank you for being here. Thank you. Mr. Chair. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. We stand for the firm. We have Chair Greg Beck from Ladies and Furner. And then we follow in that. Councilman Lewis in play. Thank you. Thank you for all the wonderful blessings that has come along with it. Thank you for each person here for the elected officials and for these council members who take their time to work for the community. And we just pray that you are with each and every one of them to make the decisions as best for warrants county. We thank you this time of Christmas for your son Jesus Christ and for sending him so that we could have hope of spending life eternal with you, Father. We thank you for your love that you love this that much that you would do that for us. Father, we also live that tonight. Scott Smith, council member, we know he's having some difficult times and some health issues. And we just lift him up to you and ask that you cover him and if it's your will to heal him and be with him and his family. Father, again, we just ask that you are with each and every one of us tonight. Please join me in the pledge. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. And welcome to the December 23rd meeting, the last one of the year. And the first thing that's on the agenda is approval of the October 28th. So the correction that I wanted to see or the statement that I had in question would have been a statement that declared Lawrence County Fire Charitory in Charles Wood Volunteer Fire Department were out of compliance. So that has now been put into quotes. So it is a direct quote attributed to chief Brown. And that is the only change on matter. Any questions? Questions? Okay. Call for a motion or not. So moved. Second. In this first, do a second. Any questions or comments? On the code of motion, please say aye. Aye. Opposed? Passed. Next one is the November 25th resolution. Is there any questions on that? No. Okay. Any kind of motion on that? Move. Jets first. Okay. Feel a second on that. Any questions or comments? On the code of motion, please say aye. Aye. Opposed? Passed. The first point on the list is two direct guess. Okay. Okay. So what is going to go? Where's the water now? I'm just here to request a transfer to help fix a terrible error. It's a transfer of $29 and seven cents. And it's between $30,000 and $20,000. I don't know if that's $20,000. I don't know if that's what you asked. For permission, it was simply that I didn't realize that there had been a claim that wasn't reported properly in our ledger. So I overspent that line and she made it up on another line. It's not additional. Any questions or comments? On the code of motion, please say aye. Aye. Opposed? Okay. What does that mean? If I may, is that all of your agenda? I don't know. The extension office has been hit pretty hard. What's 2026 looking like? It's a really good question. It is the severity of the cut at hand. The significant workload that are staffing for health. I'm still trying to figure that out. I'm doing a lot of these assessment with all my boards, including Simpson, the board for a transfer of junior leaders, fellow leaders, all of those groups. So we're trying to see what things do we have to keep doing. What things do we need to look at? It's upsetting. So I can tell you, it's going to take you around an hour. I don't know yet. My task list is certainly going to look different in our output. It's going to look a lot different too. And I feel like this employee has been caught in the middle

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
