12-16-2025 Commissioners Meeting [14:39-18:34]

Good morning. Just to follow up with Brian. This weekend, we were monitoring Scott and I monitoring it. And the sheriff's department and our police departments. We did have some slide offs and a few accidents but nothing that I know that was real serious or anything. And we didn't have any highway equipment get off, slide off or anything this time, which we've had in the past. Again, you know, we just couldn't do anything. We had the warming shelter open. We had an alternative in Mitchell if we needed it. So, we were prepared. We did have one aimless be victim to a slide off yesterday. That was EMS 12, slid off with a patient on board but that patient was picked up by IU and transported. So, it was just one of those accidents where they, you know, and so but other than that, we've had pretty good weekend without, you know, with no injuries and stuff. So, the other thing is is we have a tower that was given to us, probably about 30 years ago, 3035. I've been here 40 and so I think it's been in the 35-year range. They did us a telegraph tower out on Kings Ridge Road. The base of that tower has a building that holds the generator and all of the things that makes the tower run and all of our emergency services and tennis and stuff around there. That being said, we meet some maintenance on the building. We're getting rough quotes. We have one. We've not been able to secure any others but and then so I'm going to be putting in for an additional in January and am I unappropriated to repair that roof and buy some paint because outside these painted Jeff and I Rodney have all been out there and looked at it and see if that it may be something the community corrections could do with the weather's better as far as painting it on the outside if we buy the paint. So, just want to give you a heads up and so we'll be asking that submitting it that for the January council meeting. So, it'll be about $30,000 just what I'm going to submit with paint in real-free payroll. So, we met out there with everybody Jeff and I, like I said Rodney, I know you've been out there too with the contractors. Jeff, was there anything else that you wanted to add on that or Rodney? Next is Sheriff Greg Day. Good morning. Good morning. I don't have much either. I will just piggyback on that just a little bit between, I think it was late Thursday evening when that first snow came in through last night. We worked 23 crashes, side-offs crashes during that break time so we were busy but nothing there were no major major injuries or anything. And then the GL population this morning was 74 total inmates, 62 males, 12 females, we're holding eight for DOC. We have zero current per row holds and then we have four that were sentenced, four level six felons that were sentenced to serve their time here, but at least so.
