10-28-2025 Council Regular Meeting [20:04-22:33]

But the point of it is we've been providing this service to the county for free. Okay, I'm not not saying where we want taxes is right. But we still do not have to go outside my territory. And I made an agreement three years ago, two and a half years ago with the county to say, hey, we will help out when we don't have any himmelses. That was my heart talking. All right. But my heart can't control business either. What's the average cost of a run? A fire department charge to the station. The average depends on whether they're on Medicare or Medicaid or whether they get private insurance. It varies, you know, you might get paid $200 for run. Okay. Just depends. Now Medicare Medicaid has come up closer to what Medicare does pay. Generally you might get $400 to $500 per run. I mean, I can't tell you because it varies totally different depends on how many miles you went. Pens on whether you took them to Bedford or whether I took them to IU, Bloomington. Or even a few times when you took them to Pelley whenever we were in Michigan, whenever it's a pregnant lady or something like that. Because we're a lot closer to a hospital that controls babies would take them to Pelley if we have to. And we can see we've been to Pelley three times and that's the main three reasons we've been to Pelley. Everything comes right here to Bedford 95% of the time unless they can't take care of the patient. So I'm just letting you know the contract. I'd like for you to sit down and talk about the contract asking for $65,000 a year. That would be one of them sitting right there and one of them sitting around the corner. I do believe contracts or commissionership. Well, the commissioners know. Okay. So I want to thank you for your time. If you have any other questions for me, I'll get out of your hair. You guys got any questions for Bob? Okay. No questions. All right. Thank you for your time. Nord, you good? No. Are you going to stand up? You're going to sit down. You have that look on your face.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
