10-28-2025 Council Regular Meeting [9:59-15:00]

Can you speak more to the workload increase? So the workload increase with the new house bill that they passed starting mid year. The community crossings is like divided now in three different ways. So what they're going to do is go by counties without wheel tax. You'll get, which they haven't said how much yet because you know, they're going to keep that low hat until they come out. You're going to get so much and that goes on. You're restricted fund, but a whole another pay line that you have to do construction only out of. So you got to track it like community crossings and keep all that bids and all that stuff up. Like a, she's already doing restricted, not restricted. If you've got seen our budget, it's crazy. And now she has to worry about another restricted budget line. So, and she does take care of 30 people out there. Mostly takes care of me, which I'm a lot. Oh, yeah, I mean, when they didn't have a superintendent, she did that all on her own. But does she, everything you need to know about that. So just asking for, she's got five years experience now. She's been there. I hope she don't play on going there. I know she's got offered that pay scale at other positions at the courthouse. I'm not going to say by who. But I mean, if you can get it offered somewhere else, I think I should be able to prepare that. I will speak to Jamie's knowledge and experience. Because I've been trying to hire her away from Ryan. And I was not quite about it. And I was shot. And I'm voting to the day. She did. She's a very good asset. She's a county into the highway. And she's very loyal to that department. And I mean, she's like our HR. She's there. She basically everyone. Well, in the speak to the federal grants, as they get it, she knows her grants. And we, when we did the SEFA to turn in to our financial report, we did our calculations. And we send it to her. And we make sure that she manages us. So she's, she's very good to, and she's very good to work with. And never filled State Board of Accounts. That's a big one right there. A motion from Jeff to prove that second from Jamie. Any further questions? The problem. I'll in favor of the motion. Please say aye. Aye. Opposed? Okay. That one is set on our monthly good. Thank you very much. Appreciate it. You all have a good night. Okay. Next up is Paula Edwards. Her Bobby Brown. Let's get Bobby Brown. I know what Bobby Brown wants to move. All right. I know that I was here, I wasn't here at the last, the main thing that we're talking about is the little money that shows we're going to part of our, we've got left out of. Okay. And not quite understanding that whole process. But I kind of wanted to let you know what we have done since we have become a territory for the county. Okay. If you take a look down that list, it shows you how many runs that we made inside the county or the city limits. Okay. Free of charge and not charge in the county, anything. Hell. Not one dime have I received from the county. So, if you take a look at that, we've done 503 runs outside of Lawrence County, okay. 25 of those runs, IU Health had to cover me because I was covering the county somewhere else. I've been doing this for 46 years and cutting out one volunteer park apartment out of the whole county. I just don't see it because you still have to have volunteers to run a park apartment. I mean, I'm not like the city of Beverly when they got nine guys on duty every day. Okay. We have three people on duty. All right. And we respond immediately. If you take a look at it, end of the show is the volunteer park apartment. The show is the volunteer park apartment made here in six runs. This is the last two and a half years. This is volunteers getting out of bed going on runs. And you cut the only funding that we had. Nothing comes to us. All right. But now, are we into different things here because you've got a volunteer park apartment and a territory?
