10-21-2025 Commissioners [7:51-9:51]

We are currently November 5th opens up the what's called the NOFA funding, which is the grant for local funding, for bridges and roads and stuff and we are looking to put bridge 46 on Barlett School Road for replacement. This come about because of the latest bridge inspection. It's probably one of the worst condition bridges in the county. So what we're gonna try to push out when we go. That one also has a tonnage limit so that will eliminate that one. So it'll be at least two bridges coming out there. The big thing I wanna talk about is City of Mitchell on they have Teak Burton Drive and at some point, 195 feet of that towards Highway 37, Highway 60 is still under the county jurisdiction, 195 feet. Indy on the inventory calls an L Park Drive. So all the paperwork needs to say L Park Drive, basically I recommend well within the City of Mitchell, I recommend we just, like we did with the whole critic so they can do community crossings or work on it legally through State World Council. We just give that 195 feet to the City of Mitchell and this will eliminate any questions of who owns what and where it's at and who can do what. Cause I'm pretty sure they're plowing stone on it cause we don't, cause we don't really track that road. We thought it was City of Mitchell's to begin with. So, but I gave you guys a map of what Indy calls it off the Indy inventory and a map of RGIS showing that 195 feet belongs to Lawrence County Highway. So it's really not very many feet to even deal with to be honest with you. For the public's information, that is the road just south of the Hoosier Hill's Credit Union, little curve right there. Just a very short distance there. So I would entertain a motion to transfer that section

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
