8/12/2025 Commissioners Meeting [13:33-16:05]

Good morning. FEMA will be here next Monday Tuesday and Wednesday and they will be meeting with the highway department, the city of Bedford, the town of Oledic, and the Sheriff's Department to review their costs that they submitted at our preliminary meeting for some reimbursement money. So, we're hopefully to get that. I think we have a bridge out by Townington that we were looking at. Yeah, it was our big project, and we have a little bit for the Sheriff's Department, and then the town of Oledic had some waste water problems, and then the city of Bedford had multiple things with cleanup of debris and streams, safety, and stuff. So, we have that going on, and then Thursday, we're meeting with the Persemin Festival Committee that we do every year to review their safety plan with the first responders, and down there. So, that's all that's going on. There's always a lot going on, but those are the highlights. Thank you. Next is Sheriff Greg Day. Morning, Jim. All right, I don't have a whole lot, so, I mean, I've got a population. I'll give you that. Total was 68 this morning. We've released 10 or 12 just in the last 16 hours or so. 56 males, 12 females, have six new seaholds, one corollal hold, and then one level six filament was sent this year locally. So, and then the other thing I just want to say to you guys because they kind of fall under your purview is we just want to give a special shout out to Kelsey and Donne, like the great work that they do. I don't know how they do for all the other offices, but they are literally overworking on stuff at the gym. They save the county a ton of money on the stuff that they are able to do over there. So, they don't know how it's doing that. They're not here, but I wanted to let you guys know that you guys are doing a fantastic job, so. They're the unsung heroes. They are absolutely so.
