Council July Meeting [13:06-16:43]

So this is obviously an important topic, especially here in Lawrence County where our sectors are manufacturing and health. So a lot of digital skills are necessary to be successful in those sectors and to have a good base of employment based folks who are ready and trained to do that. So very excited. Stay tuned for that. There'll be more. It's just unwilling. So that'll be coming down the pike and more, I'll have more robust feedback in terms of participation on that once we get going. And then out of our Aging Natural Resources program, we had a third grade Ag date just passed me out at Lawrence County Fairgrounds. This is my program. Let me double check. We had stations across the fairgrounds and the kids got to rotate through all of the stations. There were 12 stations. We had 60 volunteers show up, you know, some involved in forage development others just interested in what's going on. All of the extension educators were out there helping as well. And we pulled from almost all the elementary schools across Lawrence County. So it was really fun. It was really great day. The most popular session I would say was the drill session, because it was pretty neat. And then just briefly wanted to say that we have in the absence of our full-time A&R educator, you do have with this temporary program assistant Cassie. And she is, she's kind of doing a whole lot of things, but she's sort of holding space for Aging Natural Resource Programming until there's a more permanent solution or some other solution. So look for Cassie around. She's, she's an awesome addition to our team. And I think that's it. Oh, I guess I should mention. Yeah, we just had fair. It was, you know, spectacular. We had a great opportunity to show the state treasure around Daniel Elliott. Perhaps some of you met him. Sounds like he was out there from more than just extension, but we were able to show him some of the amazing projects that are youth did and contributed to fair. And then he also got to interact with some of our youth. So that was a wonderful chance to just showcase all that we do. So you can find me across the street if you have any questions. We did. It was, it was, yeah, it's the second one that I've attended. So I don't have a lot of reference, but it was really wonderful. Full day of just Ag, all things Ag related. So I will note that while historically we've had it in the spring, we did just get approval. We're going to run it in October this year, which I think will be a nice change. Just otherwise. There's a lot of kids. Yeah, they just best the kids have the kids in. And then yeah, it takes a whole lot of coordinating, but it's great. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you very much.
