05/19/2025 Council Special Meeting [68:08-71:23]

Other questions? Yes. Any other questions for page? Can't you? I think I've done a great job. Okay. I was a better user when we were expecting. It's a lot better. Yeah. But again, I think be cautious. I mean, my mission, you know, and wrap it, is all about matching to the receipts. And if you don't do that, you will spend on reserves. But thankfully, you have some reserves that we're getting through the next couple of years. Thank you so much. But if you have to, I don't like to see that. I don't want to see you using rewards, but if you have to. Because again, I make come back here the next month and have, you know, more losses tonight. And you know, you need to be at 17th. I know. Right. And that's not what we've been up to. You know, you've been budgeting well. I don't know that you have places you can cut. I'll just be honest with you. But if you think you can, yeah. That would be a great set to take. But we also have reserves. I mean, you might spend two, you might spend four million over the next few years. And that's going to put you down to that seven percent that I showed on the way forward. But I think you can bounce back up. Depending on what you do with the local income tax. And we can continue to run snows. Like if you say, hey, page, what would point eight to rather than point nine? We can easily run that through and make sure that I wanted to give you a cushion, but that point nine because I know two things. We're going to have to shift costs from public safety over to general in number two. All those, that means you transfer to those. But a transfer to general is going to have to go back because it's not sustainable. It's not. But I told you that. You're going to have to go back to health. Reassessment. Yes, you're going to have to shift those back. So yeah, it's not sustainable. But you don't want to continue to have high levies on these funds that have access balances. Put it back in general until you get needed to go back. But as long as you go on the back of your mind, that probably 2030, you're going to have to put that property tax back to those funds. As long as we know that and we plan for it, it's fine. But even if you were living those levies over to the general fund, you don't have to complete it completely. No, you don't. No, absolutely not. In fact, when we did this report, we made sure they did not drop below 15%. I think they kept them at 20 or 25%. Yeah. I think sometimes there's a fear of taking a lead. We completely off. Like you did that with emergency management. There's no fear without a law. I thought that was a great plan because you can always move around and back and there's just too much money and not fund right now. So let them use that money. That's what it's there for, right? So, yeah. Which is actually, those are just saying it was planned to leave. Yes. Right. Exactly. Precisely. Yes. Where are you going? No questions. Come on. This has been a big day. Okay. Thank you. Thank you.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
