05/19/2025 Council Special Meeting [51:43-52:33]

Page 31 is just your rainy day fund. I just wanted you to see what you have. And rainy day fund, you've got 2.2 million. And people always ask me, well, how much should I have in that fund? Well, kind of depends on what you have in the general fund. So, the general fund is so strong right now. This is just kind of some money you can set aside for a margin of sales. So, it kind of depends on what you think might happen. You know, we don't know what happens with a margin of sales. Sometimes there's flooding, tornadoes, the wealth gets damaged. That's things that you can pay out of this fund. So, you've got a balance in there. If you go up a balance, if you're a general fund that's over 50%, you can transfer some of that into the rainy day fund. You're not about 50% so I wouldn't do anything right now. I would just throw it on to this rainy day fund balance until you need it for the margin sale.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
