Data Center Resource Disclosure Act

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Data Center Resource Disclosure Act''. SEC. 2. DATA CENTER RESOURCE CONSUMPTION SURVEY. (a) In General.--Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and annually thereafter, the Assistant Secretary shall-- (1) conduct a survey through which the Assistant Secretary shall request the operator of each data center located in the United States to provide, on a voluntary basis, information on-- (A) the energy consumption of such data center for the preceding 1-year period; and (B) the water consumption of such data center for the preceding 1-year period; and (2) provide an opportunity for individuals and entities, including public utility boards, labor organizations, State regulatory authorities, and public interest organizations representing consumers, to submit comments in relation to such survey. (b) Publication of Results.--Not later than 180 days after conducting a survey under subsection (a), the Assistant Secretary shall-- (1) pu
