At Cherlunda’s request, Salary went to check on Cherlunda’s mother, Beulah Biege. Salary peered through the window of Biege’s LaPorte residence and saw Biege on the floor of the kitchen. Salary entered the home and discovered that Biege was unconscious, and a significant amount of blood was observed on the surfaces in the kitchen. Salary called 911.
