The Euphoria Finale Has Divided the Internet - Weekly Watch Report [40:50-43:51]

I'm just happy that's over. Just a relief. That's like why when a friend was like, oh, I watched it behind the scenes thing. I'm like, I couldn't have shot this off faster like. There it is. Yeah. And then I went back to it because I had started with it was Bay finally. I've heard great things about Wasteland. Really good. I mean, that's another one that everyone is like, this is the greatest show on TV like in a long time. Is that Apple TV? It's Apple TV. People are raving about that. So I watched the first five episodes. They're seven out. It is very good. And it's like a good mix of horror and comedy. The comedy's pretty dry. Like I would say it's kind of more on the horror side. It's like a comedy during the day in a horror at night, right? Yeah, I wouldn't even say like it's that black and white of like, like I would say it's more horror than comedy. And the comedy is kind of sprinkled in throughout, but it's very like dry humor. But it's interesting because it's like, basically they're on this island called Widow's Bay and the main character. It gives me white lotus vibes a little bit. We're like, we're with this character. The mayor is the main character. And his whole goal is like he wants a tourist to come to the island. He wants it to become like Martha's Vineyard or like Sag Harbor. Like he wants a lot of tourism. It's funny that when you Google it, Widow's Bay that Google says, did you mean the next Martha's Vineyard and definitely not cursed? Yeah, because that was like, it's not a spoiler. Like early on, there's a reporter who comes and he's like really trying to like give him a great tour. So he writes up a nice thing about it and the guy's like, I hope you're all right. He's such a good actor. I'm gonna watch this later. Yeah, but it was funny because he's like, he wrote like the next Martha's Vineyard. I actually laughed out loud because he was like, yeah, like I don't know why this isn't like a Cape Cod type. Or he's like, we have the best lobster in the country. And the guy's like, oh wow, that's like strong word. It's like, I might have to tell the people of Cape Cod and he's like, fuck Cape Cod. But really good. I'm excited to catch up on the next two episodes. But yeah, it is like a white lotus where you're like kind of vibe of him trying to like manage everything and just constantly things are going wrong. And also Steven Root, who he's an incredible actor too, his character is great in this. I'm excited to watch that one. But yeah, I would say this is, I'll give an A-minus so far, but it's really good. So he's done so many amazing things at actor and yet every time I see him, I think of Dodgeball. He was in Barry, he was really in Barry. Yeah, great show. Oh, I'm excited to watch this. That's been on the list. Yeah, I'm definitely putting this on my list too because now the U-40 is over. I need something new for being Joe to watch. Yeah. All right, that wraps everything. Raps up everything we watch this week.
